Not Like Elijah’s Fire 

Text: Luke 9: 54-56. 

And when His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and consume them, just as Elijah did?” But He turned and rebuked them, and said, “You do not know what manner of spirit you are of. For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village. Luke 9:54‭-‬56 NKJV 

1. Pray that you will demonstrate the spirit of Christ in forebearance and love. 

2. Pray that through you others will be saved but not destroyed.

3. Pray that your loved ones will manifest the true spirit of Christ by not pronouncing firey judgement on others. 

4. Pray that the members of your local church will not hastily seek the destruction of others but bear them up unto their salvation. 

5. Pray that the believers in your nation will not be judgemental when others refuse to accept Christ but deal with them in compassion.
